Carer Relief
DayFriend connects family caregivers with Enhanced DBS checked companions who provide trusted cover while the main carer takes a break. Companions offer supervision, company, and light assistance so full-time carers can rest, attend appointments, or have time to themselves.
What you can expect
If you are a full-time family carer and need regular or occasional relief, you can book a companion to sit with your relative while you take a break. This service is also suitable for short-term support lasting fewer than seven days. For longer support, see Stay-in Support.
Respite support is available across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire, including Bolton, Crewe, Sefton and Blackburn.
